How do I bring my parents or spouse to Saudi Arabia on a family visit visa?

Residents with a work iqama can request a family visit visa for first-degree relatives, such as parents, a spouse and children, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' visa platform.

Who can apply, and who can visit

• Citizens and residents can use MOFA's Family Visit Request service.
• Visitors must be first-degree relatives; MOFA gives parents, wife and children as examples.
• The resident needs a valid work iqama, not a dependant's iqama.

How to apply

1. Open the visa platform from MOFA's service page, which links to KSA Visa (ksavisa.sa).
2. Fill in the online form in Arabic, except that non-Arab visitors' names must match their passports.
3. Have the form stamped and authenticated electronically by your employer or the Chamber of Commerce.
4. Submit it. MOFA lists 3 business days, though exceptional cases can take longer.
5. Track the request with MOFA's inquiry service using its reference number.

Jawazat's fee table lists SAR 100 for a visit visa extension.
