How do I check that my health insurance is active in Saudi Arabia?

I went to a clinic and was told my insurance couldn't be found. How can I check whether my health insurance is active and which policy I'm on, and who do I contact if something is wrong?

Use the Council of Health Insurance's (CHI) Insurance Information Inquiry service: enter your identity number and the on-screen code to see your health insurance details.
How to check
Open CHI's Insurance Information Inquiry page.
Enter your identity number (your iqama number if you're a resident).
Type in the verification code and accept the data consent.
Submit and review the insurance details shown.
If something's wrong
Ask your employer's HR first, then contact the insurer named on your insurance card.
CHI's unified number is 19977, and its care portal is care.chi.gov.sa.
CHI also has an online complaint service for insured people, accessed with Nafath, which it says takes 3 working days.
What your policy covers
CHI publishes the unified policy documents, including the Essential Benefit Package effective 1 October 2022, on its unified policy page.
