Exit Timeline

Typical steps and duration for final exit process

Notify employer & get approval

1-7 days

Submit resignation letter and obtain employer's approval for final exit. Employer must initiate the process via Qiwa.

Settle traffic fines

1 day

Check and pay all pending traffic fines via Absher or MOI portal. Clearance is mandatory.

Clear GOSI obligations

1-3 days

Ensure all social insurance contributions are settled. Your employer handles this.

Cancel utilities & services

1-3 days

Cancel electricity (SEC), water (NWC), internet, and phone contracts. Pay final bills.

Close bank accounts

1-7 days

Visit banks in person to close accounts. Transfer remaining funds or get bank drafts.

Receive End of Service benefits

7-14 days

Employer must pay ESB within one week of contract termination. Calculate using Salary Calculator.

Apply for Final Exit via Absher/Qiwa

Instant

Employer submits final exit request. Once approved, you have 60 days to leave.

Book flight & depart

Before visa expiry

Book your flight and ensure you leave before the final exit visa expires (60 days from issuance).
