Most groceries in Saudi Arabia come from large supermarket chains, and most of them now have an app or website with home delivery. For quick delivery in a hurry, Nana and HungerStation Market are the options to try; for a weekly shop, use your local chain's app.
Main supermarket chains
- Othaim Markets. A Saudi retail group whose website offers a store locator, offers and recipes, and a loyalty program called Iktissab with its own app.
- Tamimi Markets. Describes itself as "the supermarket of choice for Saudis and expatriates" on its site. It has a store locator, an online shop and apps for iPhone and Android. Customer service: 8003030010.
- Danube. Its site sells more than 10,000 products online, with home delivery by city and district or in-store pickup, and an app. Customer service: 8002442225.
- Panda, Carrefour and LuLu are also major names in Saudi grocery. Check each one's current app or website for delivery coverage; we could not confirm details of their services in this review.
The best chain for you depends mostly on which branch is closest. Start with the store locator and compare the delivery area for your district.
Delivery and quick commerce
- Nana. The Nana app advertises more than 22,000 grocery products and delivery in about 20 minutes. Its site lists a Riyadh address; check the app for your area.
- HungerStation Market. HungerStation lists a Market service with groceries delivered in 20 minutes, and pharmacy delivery. It names Riyadh, Al Khobar, Dammam, Jeddah and Makkah.
- Amazon.sa. Amazon.sa is the former Souq.com in Saudi Arabia (rebranded on 17 June 2020, per Wikipedia). In October 2025 Amazon announced same-day grocery delivery of Al-Othaim products in Riyadh and Jeddah; Prime members get free delivery above SAR 75 (Arab News, sponsored content). Check the Amazon app for fees if you are not a Prime member.

What to check when you shop
- Halal labels. Look for a halal mark on meat, poultry and processed products, and ask at the counter if you are unsure.
- Imported goods. Larger supermarkets carry international sections, but stock changes. If a specific product matters, check the store's online listing before you drive over.
- Prices. We did not verify current prices. Compare the same basket in two apps before you commit; delivery and service fees vary.
- Delivery slots. Evenings and the days before holidays fill up first.
- Ramadan. Opening hours shift and queues are long after sunset. See our Ramadan guide.
