Expat housing in Rabigh: where do people working there live?

• Petro Rabigh (Rabigh Refining and Petrochemical Company) was founded in 2005 as a joint venture between Saudi Aramco and Sumitomo Chemical, so if you work there, its HR is the place to start.
• Ask HR whether housing, a housing allowance or transport is included, and which areas colleagues live in.
• If you're comparing Rabigh with King Abdullah Economic City, check the daily commute before you commit.

Before renting

1. Check the broker's licence on REGA's broker inquiry service.
2. View the property and confirm who the owner or authorised landlord is.
3. Get the lease registered on Ejar; if the landlord won't, you can request registration as the tenant.
